Karl-Rudolf Moll began his professional career at the Leibniz Supercomputing Center of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences. He there obtained his PhD in Information Technology and worked as a research assistant and lecturer for 10 years.
He then moved to the commercial sector where, over the next 20 years, he held the following posts: CIO of HYPO-BANK Munich, Director of Organisation and Data Processing at Merck Finck Privatbankiers AG and subsequently Director of the software house KORDOBA KG. His particular concern has always been to develop clearly defined, high quality processes for information management. As a result of his lectures and book on the subject, he was awarded an honorary professorship by the Technical University of Munich in 1995.
For the past 15 years, Karl-Rudolf Moll has acted as a consultant to many organisations active in the banking and insurance sectors. Here, he advises clients on the introduction and optimisation of IT service management processes, manages the quality assurance of complex IT projects and monitors the development of innovative business models in the sector of digitalisation.
