Hans-Achim Quitmann started his career in technical data processing where he implemented and supervised CAD, R&D and manufacturing-related applications. He then took on various IT leadership roles in a range of different industries (service, metals, manufacturing and hi-tech). In his most recent roles at Zumtobel AG, Aurubis AG and Carl Zeiss AG, he was group CIO and responsible for the IT strategy and performance (costs, projects and operations). In addition to assuming these responsibilities, he was the board member for technology in the German-speaking SAP User Group (DSAG) up until 2016.
He now advises companies on strategic issues, supports projects and acts as a sparring partner for IT managers.
